Learning outcomes:

After this course students:

  • can demonstrate knowledge of key concepts, definitions and different approaches to environmental risk assessment;
  • can use knowledge of environmental monitoring to assess risks;
  • can calculate the level of risk created by the enterprise for air, water, soil using monitoring data;
  • can use regulatory documents in the field of environmental risk assessment;
  • can normalize and assess the risk of contamination of territories with radioactive waste;
  • can make design and technical documentation for the assessment of existing risks.

Competences obtained by students:

  • able to assess the environmental risk created by the object of waste disposal on air, water, soil for sustainable management of industrial production;
  • able to apply quantitative calculation methods of risk assessment in practice;
  • able to argue and determine the level of risk associated with the activities of enterprises;
  • possesses competencies for formulating issues, challenges, and generalization of the results obtained for risk assessment.
